Many men who are just beginning to study and understand scripture are tasked with questions concerning masturbation. The scriptures state that 'fornication is the only sin that a man commits against his own body (1st Corinthians 6:18)' - a statement that masturbation thoroughly encompasses. However, more-so than not, Biblical fornication is used in conjunction with idolatry; most noted in the decline of King Solomon (1st Kings 11). So, is masturbation idolatrous as well? Absolutely, and we will dissect it from this angle because idolatry is the most hidden or esoteric effect masturbation has on men who choose to engage in such an act.
